When playing dress-up as a little girl you may have dressed as a princess, a bride, or your favorite fairytale heroine. You dreamed about being swept away by your prince charming. Now you are all grown up and it's time to bring your fantasy of a fairytale wedding to life.
Location: The most appropriate location is a cathedral for the wedding ceremony and a grand ballroom that over looks a garden or a garden setting for the reception.
Consider having a horse drawn carriage deliver you to the cathedral before your ceremony. After the wedding ceremony, you and your new prince charming can use the horse and carriage to take the two of you to your reception location.
No matter what location you choose, the emphasis will be on how you decorate for your fairytale theme.

Color Scheme: The colors you choose for your wedding will help set the mood for your fairytale fantasy. Pale pink, ivory and white are the primary colors for a fairytale theme. Pastels of yellow, blue, lavender and green can be incorporated into your fairytale wedding theme.
Flowers & Decorations: Fairytale theme appropriate flowers include baby's breath, camellias, gardenias, irises, ivy, lily of the valley, orchids, roses, stephanotis and tulips. Have your florist create a lovely pastel mix for your bouquets and centerpieces.
Decorate any reception facility to project your fairytale theme using a lot of pastel colored tulle, satin ribbons, bows, pearl, bells, birds, coaches, castles, red roses, ivory decorations, pumpkins and don't forget the Red Carpet.
An ice sculpture made to depict a Castle, a Horse Drawn Carriage or a Glass Slipper would make a wonderful centerpiece for the head-table or on a table of it's own.
Use wishing wells decorated with ribbons, roses and birds, and have your Maid of Honor or Best Man suggest that guests use the back of their place cards and write down their wishes or advice for the happy newlyweds. These wishes and advice will become your treasured keepsakes. You may even read them over every year as you celebrate your anniversary.
Dinner Ideas: A fairytale wedding calls for a formal, full course sit-down dinner.
For your royal feast consider Hot & Cold Canapes: Garlic Parwns with Ginger Salsa & Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls with Sweet Chilli Sauce.
Entree: Crabmeat salad with Zucchini, Salmon Pearl & Mixed Baby Leaf Salsd.
For the Royal Main Course: Milk Fed Veal Cutlet with mushrooms, Crushed Rosti Potato and Madeira Sauce.
Desert: Rich Truffle Cake with Amaretto Cream, Freshly Brewed Coffee & Stamford Tea Selection finished with Chocolates. And finally, treat your guests to the season's best beer, wine & champagne.
Favors & Parting Gifts: Scepters and Crowns placed on tables make great favors for a fairytale theme. Use a Cinderella "Glass Slipper" for your fairytale favor boxes. Pretty little pewter "Love" and "Thank You" charms add a sweet accent to your favors and gifts.
